Selah — A Moment to Pause, Reflect, and Move Forward
I formed Selah Land Co., an American small business, to help land owners sell their assets in a seamless manner. I grew up in rural Virginia and have always lived here: it’s home. I truly love this place, its landscapes, farms, and natural beauties; so investing in land seemed a natural progression of my passion for it. I wanted to help people get out from underneath the burden that real estate can sometimes create, because if we’re honest, land is not an asset that is easily liquidated. Maybe you inherited the land, or bought some land with a future dream in mind, but life had other plans. Whatever the reason, I want to give people an easy out. So that’s what Selah Land Co. is; a way out and a way forward in freedom. The fact is, land shouldn’t be a burden; it should be something to enjoy, to cherish.
So what does Selah mean? Put simple, it means to pause. It means to consider, to weigh, and value something. This word is used many times in the Psalms to signify to the musicians and singers to stop and wait, to take a moment to reflect. I believe in this day and age this is especially important; to take a second to consider your situation and evaluate what is most important to you.
